and sit right down to watch my favorite movie I watch it every time it comes on T.V. I don't care how bad it is Because it always makes me blissfully happy If it's on Super 8, Beta, VHS or DVD I'll still buy it Even if I have spend every hard-earned penny If its deeply sublime or incredibly obscene my eyes will relish it scene by scene by scene I'll cheer with the heroes and spur them on and again all the while sneering at the villians At every funny part, I'll laugh until I sigh And at every sad part, I still break down and cry I laugh at the comedy's zingers And with the musicals, I dance with the singers All the characters and the actors Always become my friends I'll sit there for hours, waiting until it ends I'll awefully gasp at its special effects or cheerfully cherish its production defects I listen to every line of its dialogue I don't care if it comes from a famous actor or a trained, wild hog I'll watch its plot again and again I don't care if Shakespeare wrote it or some functional illiterate with a cheap fountain pen My favorite movie could tell any story from an Epic from History to one of those B-movie Mysteries I don't care if it's in Cinerama or black and white It could be in letter box or even pan and scan But it won't stop me from watching it all night I don't care if it find it in the supermarket or watch it on basic cable I'll take the day off to watch it if I'm able Like women and fine old wine, my favorite movie always gets better and better every time Critics and friends may not agree but this is my favorite movie to me.
