Looking at a rectangular table
with donated items to purchase,
I lifted a snow-globe.
Tumbling it, a strange
sensation moved through
my fingers as if a visitation
from my deceased parents
was happening. They’d given
me one with the very same scene. 
It had been offered to charity.
I searched the base expecting my
childhood markings to actually
be etched on the wood.
