The Hockey Game Hockey season has arrived once more and there’s excitement in the air as red and black jerseys race with flair and the score is five to four. With lightning speed and a little luck a red winger steals the puck he’s in control and he’s ready for a goal. Suddenly, from behind the blue line black jersey number nine races across the ice in hot pursuit with his stick in hand he’s ready to shoot a struggle for the puck is about to begin and both players are in a fight to win. The dash board clock reads 5 seconds more as the crowd begins to roar. With one quick swipe a speedy red winger steals the puck he’s on a power play and he won’t delay with precision and speed he’ll accomplish the deed. He raises his stick and he’s ready for a shot with only 3 seconds left things are getting hot. The goalie is on guard with his stick to the ground with only 2 seconds left and the buzzer is ready to sound. When suddenly inside the net to the left a black puck can be found. Wintertime Snowflakes gently fall in the dark of night the city awakens in winter white window panes sparkle with frosted lace fluttering snowflakes tickle your face. Sleigh bells ring along the country side on frozen rivers happy skaters glide children make snow men for winter fun ice sculptures glitter like crystal in the sun. The Loon The loon is lord of its aquatic domain
gliding peacefully over lake waters in sun and rain regal in its mantel of chequered black-and-white with its jet-black head held proud and upright. It dives deep into chilly lake waters for sunfish and snails and seldom falters and when moonlight shines on its chest of white the loon’s eerie call can be heard in the night.
