FETHI SASS - THE WAIT & THE PIGEON

FETHI SASS
He is born in 1962 in Nabeul (Tunisia)  he is a writer of prose poetry, short poetry, and haikus and a member of the Tunisian Writers' Union, and in the Literature Club at the Cultural center of Sousse.  He has published six poetry books /
1 - seed of Love Tunisia Bourak Edition (2010).
2-I dream … and I sign on Birds the Last Words Tunisia Bourak Edition  (2013).
3-A sky for a Strange Bird Egypt , Dar Arwika 2016.
   Second edition in2018 by Dar Mayara.
4-As a lonely Rose on a Chair Egypt Dar Boursa 2017 .
5-I used to hang  my Face Behind the Door Egypt Dar Boursa 2018.
6-A new method for absence _ in dar wechma 2019
He is also a translator. He has contributed to several international
Projects and has translated into Arabic the following literary works:

The Wait
​

​  He went to the train station every day. He sat and put a cigarette on his mouth. The smoke rose from his mouth like a ship at the time of departure. At the station, a train after another passed until late at night. Finally he left the place and went back in the following day at the very same hour. He sat and waited for the train that would never show up.
 

The Pigeon

The young lady usually leaves her window half open as she knows that the pigeon, with the shiny brown beak, is coming to peck on the window’s glass. The family, as well, wakes up to the same rhythm of the gentle pecks. This morning, however, that sound has not been heard.
 - "Why hasn’t my little pigeon showed up yet ?"
The girl wondered and went back to her dream; it was waiting for her on her pink pillow.
