​The Mysterious Box

John woke up to a surprising noise for him to hear in the morning. He is not used to hearing his doorbell ring in the morning. He walks over to the door and takes a look to find nobody there. He opens the door to find a mysterious box played before him.
 
 
He brings the box inside, questioning what it may be. He opens the box to find an ancient lamp. It appears to be an ancient lamp of Egypt. This reminds John of how his father is on a trip to Egypt and considers this to be a delivery from his father. He decides to give his father a call, but with no answer from his father.
 
 
John notices that it is a bit dusty and decides to give it a cleaning. It is at that moment of wiping down the lamp, that the Genie arrives. Blue smoke begins to fire out of the lamp, and John instantly drops the lamp out of reaction. Genie pops out and catches the lamp just in time.
 
Genie then turns to John, “I see that you are frightened but nothing to fear. I am Genie and am here to grant you three wishes. For you are now my current master.”
 
John in a concerned manner replies, “I really get three wishes, this is all real? I’m not hallucinating or something?”
 
                                      
 
“No, you’re not, due to the fact of it being many generations now since my previous master, that must be why no one knows of my existence anymore. So, go ahead young one, make your three wishes.
 
 
“Ok, my first wish is to become a successful creative writer. Meaning that all of my creative writings become a huge success.”
 
“Wish granted, what is the next wish?”
 
“The next wish is to be able to foretell the lottery. So, can instantly win millions and be forever financially stable. The third wish….”
 
“Hold on one moment,” Genie interrupting his final words. “These wishes seem very self- centered. Don’t you have some family members or friends to care about?”
 
This question is what really hit John hard. It reminded him of his late fiancé dying along with her siblings in a horrible car accident. John took a moment and walk off and around his
                                   

 
apartment, trying to decide what to do. Genie came up to him, grabbed him by the shoulder and said, “I’m sorry for bring up something that upsets you, I can’t bring someone back from the dead, but perhaps I can help out in another way.”
 
 
The response to this statement came rather quickly. “I’ve got my second wish Genie. Make me the Flash.”
 
“Whoa are you serious?”
 
“Yes, I am, full suit and powers. That way I can run back in time and bring back my fiancé that way.”
 
Genie grants him his second wish and John is now the full suited Flash.
 
“Alright Genie, Back in a Flash.”
 
Genie rolls his eyes at him as he takes off. He accomplishes his goal of running back in time. He meant to get back to the day of the incident, but not the exact hour of it.  He quickly makes a run for where the car accident occurs. He arrives right as the truck is about to hit their vehicle. his lightning fast speed, John quickly runs into the car and out quickly and individually getting his fiancé and her siblings out of the car just in time.
 
His fiancé turns to him and out of complete shock of the situation asks, “Oh my God, you’re the Flash? The Flash is real?
 
John quickly gets her over to the other side of the road to talk to her quietly.
 
 
“Hey Kaylee, it’s me. It’s John from the future. It’s a long story but I was able to get these powers and run back in time to change history. You all died originally from that car crash. I’ve got to run back to my current time so that I don’t change history too much now.”
 
 
John runs of and back to current time. He notices a text from his father asking him, ‘Hey did you get that lamp I sent you?’ He gets back to his apartment to find Kaylee is there living with him. He is so happy and relieved. Genie appears and asks, “So is your final wish that lottery wish again?”
 
“No Genie, the final wish, is to set you free.”
