Linda Woolven is a painter and poet. Her paintings have been exhibited in galleries across Toronto, Muskoka and St Catherines. Utilizing thick textures that are suggestive of reality without being abstract or literal, her oil paintings reveal her love for the land and for the character she finds in old buildings. Linda has published over 100 poems in journals across Canada, the United States and the U.K.. The poems have appeared in Journals like, Dana Literary Society, Amethyst Review, Write On, Sepia Poetry Magazine, New Mirage Quarterly, The Kaleidocope Review, Canadian Writer's Journal, Pink Chameleon and Fullosia Press. One of her poems received an award from Dana Literary Society. She has also published two chapbooks: one was called "Life's Little Lessons" and featured 26 poems. 

​I am a 64-year-old semi-retired woman who has experienced a long and varied working life. The things that have not changed are my love for art and for the written word. I am happiest when I'm creating and would be content to do nothing else for the rest of my life. I live in California and love the summer when I can open the house to experience the sun and fresh air. The only thing that would make my life better would be to live near the sea.
