Lois Greene Stone, writer and poet, has been syndicated worldwide. Poetry and personal essays have been included in hard & softcover book anthologies. Collections of her personal items/ photos/ memorabilia are in major museums including twelve different divisions of The Smithsonian. cancelled; home-bound became our new-normal. Age-category concerns eliminated even grocery shopping. Calendar discarded; filling another with happy events seemed far-off. Pandemic vaccine offers global hope. We’ve accepted role-reversal: in-town offspring attends to tangible needs; Zoom provides visual sharing, texting rapid communication. My husband and I touch fingers feeling privileged for caring loved-ones, and allow ourselves to be receivers rather than givers.
