The streets were filled with people of all kinds. The sound of the trumpets and the booms of the bass drum gave the vibe a rhythm. I pushed through the crowd forcefully and no one was angered by my actions; They turned to me with smiles and excitement and shouted, “Andy!” I kept walking. I wanted to know why we were here. I mean, what’s the celebration for? The smells of liquor and smoke was a host to the air. Girls in bras and shorts and guys shirtless, no matter the body type, with necklaces and top hats, all carrying the same energy, but why? I bumped into a young lady in a long white dress, she looked at me and shouted, “Andy!” I asked her, what are we celebrating? Why does everyone know my name? She kissed me and took my hand pulling me through the crowd. While walking with her, we stumbled upon the band. They all looked at me and shouted, “Andy!” The drum player waved me over and let me beat the drum. I played and played, all the while the crowd shouting, “Andy!” I beat and beat until my hands couldn’t take the pain anymore. It was so fun. I was at the center of attention. I started to feel like they were all here for me. The woman tried to pull me away but I resisted her attempt. I didn’t need her any more, I had my answers. I stayed with the band and took shots of tequila. After every shot we would break the glasses by throwing them into the street. I must’ve had ten shots and with every shatter of broken glass they would shout, “Andy!” I felt so alive, it was the best night of my life. Just as I started feeling that the night couldn’t get any better, a man came up to me, fully dressed and his hat wasn’t a top hat. He grabbed me and slammed me on the kitchen floor in a pile of broken dishes. He pulls my bloody hands and they sting as he puts them behind my back. I looked up and saw my wife standing there in her white night gown, crying. Her face was bruised and bleeding, “What happened to you?”, I yelled, as if I was prepared to do something about it. “You", she said in a crying whisper. “You were sleep walking again, I called your name and tried to lead you back to bed but you started beating me and throwing dishes at me" she explained. “No, no, no," I cried. The police officer then said, “Sir you’re under arrest".
