​No getting around it
The world is
Going to Hell
All breaking down around us
Even as you deny it
It stares you
Right in the face
The sharp, brutal truth
One and all
We're damned
 
Kids killing kids
A president with the morals of a cheap alley cat
Belongs in his very own designed strait jacket
How sad
It's the way of the world today
Men wanna be women
Women wanna accuse every man
And hip hop rules the minds of our youth
Twisting them
Into lawless criminals and thugs
 
Facebook sells your info
Twitter becomes a battlefield
Blood soaks the pages of our school books
And still the gun laws really don't change
Not a damn thing
What's next?
Could there really be worse to come?
More of a bitter, sharp truth
Too damned hard to swallow
 
God forbid!

​Winter Tangerine

​Wandering and lost in this land of enchantment false
I long for love but find only hate
No warm arms to embrace or accept me for who I am
The feeling is so lonely and empty
Every day and night I fight to gain the same rights as others
Ranted againest for no good reason because I choose to love differently
 
They work so hard to take away my strength and my courage
All I want out of life is the same as all the rest
No war just peace
God loves me why can't the rest of you?
Ever think maybe you are judging a bit too harshly?
Remember if you will all the teachings in the pages of the good book
If we can only learn to live and accept one another as we are
Never again ashamed and forced to live in fear's closets
Every day and season why hold back?
 
Why not let our true souls
Our true Winter tangerines
Bloom into a lovely and free life
Where judgement stands
Not a chance in Hell of staining
 
Heaven's truth

Apart

Let us see
In life
There can be compromises
Differences can be accepted
Embraced even
Into the world
 
Why not be
Sweet like pie
A perfect circle
All pieces joined
To please many
A paradise on earth
A light to combat
The darkness
One people
One world
Let it transform us
Renew and rebirth us
So that we may learn
A new and better way of living
 
Unity is strength
Unity is power
Unity is and can be us
Coming together
For the good of all
Searching and finding
In new hearts
A level of peace and love
We only ever dreamed of before

The awesome power of it
Coursing through your veins
Joining heart, body, mind and soul
Be not afraid
