Haz-Mat Love
​

​She smiles through the haze
upon a glass plate made for secrets.
 
She trembles beneath the green skin
dripping with the magic foam.
 
Pearls shine like a new home
teasing memories she will never save.
 
Orbs of blue hope for an escape
her tears joined with the drops of inner storms.
 
He looks on beyond the mist
full of resounding rhythmic tremors.
 
If his voice makes a word
she remains still in her solid silence.
 
Energies vibrate toward a reunion
in the fog sparks come to a sudden end.
 
It seems so long ago yesterday
they lay in harmony under a soft shroud.
 
Watching particles of rainbows
their souls seek a journey.
 
Perhaps they cry behind the masks
or they scream within the shell.
 
Vanished in those grand sterile homes
too fast their images have faded.
 
Warm lives turned cold in the night
their gazes lock on distant horizons.
 

In her hands
​

​Wrapped in the soft envelope of the infant
Her silky palms softly caressing the hours
She owns the destiny written on an old parchment
Smooth as the ancient statue in antique lands.
 
Her gossamer gown gently floats in the last lights
Of easier climes made for the weakest souls.
 
Tracing the paths of galaxies she is the ballerina
Dreamed by Degas in the noblest of operas
Pure in the essence of life given in first breath.
 
Her heart beats in the warm glow of carefree times
Yet her hands reach for the orb suspended in the vast
Risking the morrow she aims to give in to feeling at last
The fire burns what remained of what some call perfection.
 
Her passion closes the blues upon the traitorous sphere
Arms stretched she holds the offering to her awesome God
Cut from the peak of an uncertain earth, she cringes inside
Ravaged by the pain moving her inside, leading her to peace.
 

Signature
​

​Etched upon the inner walls of her soul
a signature remains so long after
she took the last of a honey dew potion.
 
Hour upon hour the air penetrated the fibers
as she continued silently to feel the glee
of nectars concocted for her very blood.
 
Liquids thick with heavy spices
solids made of distant flavors crumbling
behind the ruby red of her gentle lips.
 
Blind to the overwhelming pleasures around
palms softly resting upon her warm womb
an unequaled ecstasy murmured in the flesh.
 
Ignorant of the origins of such gallant presents
arching her back she moaned with a smile
filled with the invisible presence of the giver.
 
Darkness set once again in the alcove
as she rested in the comfort of her safety
breathing only to the one dreamed nearby.
 

The Waves in Her Soul
​

​Staring into long distances
into uncertain worlds, she sighs
tears drop within her breast
heaving with the weight of so many hours.
 
The creamy blues of thick oceans
seem to live within her eyes
solid as if a statue of icy stone
tall waves threaten the shores.
 
There resides a miracle of gentle fire
beyond the thin curtain of pearly falls
her soul sits calmly above the rage
of a realm she contemplates with sorrow.
 
To dive within the surf of her being
a key to her treasured passions
and so reach the infinite boundaries
of what it means to be in unison.
 
Completing the return to all origins
swimming with the power of the creation
mere fancies sublime common desires
now she knows he too lives within.
 

Writing Upon a Storm
​

​The rains of August reminded her of the tears
she should shed upon the tragedies of the hour.
 
Taken upon the torturous winds of the night
could her meek sorrow survive another day?
 
She wanted little more than to shed a scream
into the streams of unending divine chagrin.
 
Looking through the panes of the decaying window
images flooded her heart with distorted visions.
 
She captured the contours of the earth’s torments
while the skies changed into an ashen wall.
 
Her sole desire to carve a message upon time
with the invisible gloom her flesh sheds.
 
She sees a thin line between pain and delight
all the memories that make the fabric of the universe. 
 
Leaning back her hands upon her breast
she inhales now, linked to infinity forevermore.
