Scarlet Leaf Review
First of all, allow me to say we are extremely happy seeing how many people chose to visit our review and read the poems and the stories we published.
Your number has increased every day and we, the editorial team, are impressed and humbled.
We have to thank the authors that chose to publish with us, as well. They are the ones that made possible the present fame of the review. Considering that 15,935 people visited the site between February 15 and February 24, I would say we did quite well.
Today we also want to present the essays that won the essay competition whose deadline was at the end of January.
We had the opportunity to read some very good essays and, I have to confess, it was extremely difficult to choose.
From the beginning, when we put on paper the guidelines for submission and the policies of the review, we decided to offer only three prizes for each competition.
The surprise was that two essays won the same spot in the light, as we were not able to decide which one was better, and, therefore, the prizes would go like this:
Kate Van Der Meer - “Creation, or Virtual Multiple Personality Disorder”
J.C. Cantin - “Operation”
Lillian Lee - “Budget Cuts”
We wish to offer our congratulations to the three winners and we do hope that they will submit with us in the future.
The three essays will be published in the section Essays of the review. Please, read them, they are really entertaining and informative.
To bring joy to readers everywhere.
